Terms of service

"HostRev", "we", "us", or "our" refers to HostRev Solutions (sole proprietorship, Dutch Handelsregister, KvK number 42073239), the operator of hostrev.io, established at 2e Wormenseweg 75, 7331 VD Apeldoorn, NL. "You" refers to the natural or legal person who creates an account or uses the service.

Key terms

• Service — hostrev.io and all related software, APIs, dashboards, and tools, including AI photo enhancement, title and description generation, and listing audit.
• User Content — anything you upload, including photos, listings, URLs, descriptions, and metadata.
• AI Outputs — the enhanced photos, generated titles, generated descriptions, audits, and other outputs the service produces from your User Content.
• Concept Output — see section 5: AI-generated draft material delivered for your review before publication.
• Credits — prepaid units consumed by your use of the service.

2.1 General

You must be at least 18 years old to use HostRev. By creating an account, you confirm that:

• you have legal capacity to enter into these terms;
• you are using the service primarily in connection with your business, trade, or profession — though where you nevertheless qualify as a consumer under applicable law, the consumer protections in these terms apply;
• the information you provide is accurate and current;
• you will keep your account credentials confidential.

2.2 Organizational binding (B2B signups)

If you sign up using a corporate email address — an email address on a domain registered to a business — or indicate during signup that you act on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that:

• you are authorised to bind that organization to these terms;
• "you" in these terms refers jointly and severally to you and the organization;
• the organization is responsible for all activity under the account, including all fees and compliance with the Acceptable Use and Photo Content Rights sections;
• on written request from HostRev, the organization will provide evidence of your authority (KvK extract, company registration, or written authorisation);
• if your authority ends (you leave, role changes), you will transfer the account to another authorised representative or notify HostRev.

Signups from clearly personal addresses (gmail.com, outlook.com, proton.me) without an organization indication bind only the individual.

Pricing is published at the pricing page. Prices are in euros, exclusive of VAT where applicable; VAT is added at checkout.

Credits are sold in packs and consumed as you use AI features. Once a credit is consumed by starting a generation, it is non-refundable (see section 8). Unused credits remain refundable for 14 days from purchase per EU consumer law.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Failed payments are retried per Stripe's standard dunning schedule; if a payment cannot be collected within 14 days, we may suspend your account.

Price changes

For material price changes (increases greater than the lower of 10% or the most recent 12-month CBS consumer price index), we give at least 30 days' notice by email and in your dashboard. For non-material adjustments — VAT pass-through, currency rounding, statutory levy changes — we give at least 5 days' notice. In both cases you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Your content stays yours. You retain all ownership of the photos, listing text, and other material you upload. By uploading, you grant HostRev a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transform the content solely for: (i) delivering the service to you, (ii) operating and securing the platform, and (iii) producing aggregated, fully anonymized usage statistics.

AI Outputs. Enhanced photos, rewritten titles, generated descriptions, and audits are delivered to you for your own listings. To the extent intellectual property rights arise in the AI Outputs, you are the principal beneficial owner of those rights as between you and HostRev. AI Output licenses are conditional on payment — see section 8 for license-revocation on refund.

No AI training on your content. We do not, and will not, use your uploaded photos, AI outputs, or listing text to train any AI model — ours or anyone else's. The same restriction binds you: you may not use HostRev outputs to train any competing AI system (see section 6).

Case studies. We will not feature your listing in marketing without your prior written consent. Where you consent, you may withdraw it at any time with prospective effect.

HostRev provides AI-generated concept output intended as draft material for your review. By using the service you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated output may contain errors, artifacts, or inaccuracies inherent to generative AI systems;
• you are obligated to review each AI Output for accuracy, suitability, legal conformance, and platform conformance (including the publication rules of Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, and equivalent platforms) before publication, distribution, or commercial use;
• by publishing, sharing, distributing, or commercially using any AI Output, you confirm that you have completed this review, accept full responsibility for the publication decision, and acknowledge that HostRev's role is that of a tooling provider — not a publisher or co-author;
• HostRev is not liable for damage, loss, regulatory penalty, or third-party claim arising from AI Outputs published by you, including claims based on platform policy violations, misrepresentation, intellectual property infringement, guest disputes, or damage-claim invalidation.

The review obligation applies equally to outputs generated under STRICT and PERMISSIVE prompt modes. Prompt mode is a quality-of-generation parameter, not a substitute for human review.

You agree not to use the service or any AI Output to:

• upload content that infringes any intellectual property right (including photos you do not own or have permission to use);
• misrepresent a property, amenity, or feature in a way that would mislead prospective guests, or breach the publication policies of any platform you list on;
• list, advertise, or facilitate any property used for illegal activity;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code, model weights, or prompt configurations of HostRev or any underlying AI provider;
• generate content that is defamatory, threatening, harassing, obscene, or that promotes discrimination on protected grounds;
• submit fraudulent payment information or attempt to circumvent fee structures;
• use automated means (bots, scrapers) without express written permission;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the service;
• use HostRev or any AI Output for the research, development, training, fine-tuning, evaluation, or benchmarking of any AI system, machine learning model, or competing service — this prohibition is direct or indirect, internal or commercial.

We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if we reasonably believe you have violated this section. We will explain the reason as soon as practicable, except where doing so would compromise an investigation or violate applicable law.

7.1 Upload warranties

By uploading photos to the service, you represent and warrant that:

• you own all rights in the photos, or have obtained all necessary permissions;
• the photos do not infringe any third-party intellectual property right or right of publicity;
• the photos do not depict any person whose consent has not been obtained;
• the photos accurately represent the property as it exists at the time of upload, and are not themselves synthetic or AI-generated.

7.2 No first-pass perfection

Generative AI image processing is iterative. Outputs may contain artifacts, inaccurate detail rendering, or compositional choices that do not match your expectations on the first generation. HostRev makes no representation that any single AI Output will be free of artifacts or fit for your particular purpose without further iteration.

7.3 24-hour / 72-hour revision protocol

If an AI Output does not meet your expectations:

• within 24 hours of generation, submit the output back to the service with revised instructions — the first regeneration of any flagged output is at our expense (no additional credit charged);
• if a second pass still does not meet your reasonable expectations, email contact@hostrev.io within 72 hours of the original generation;
• we will work with you in good faith to produce an acceptable output within an additional 72 hours.

Refund eligibility for AI-Output quality complaints is conditional on having completed this revision protocol.

7.4 AirCover and damage-claim carve-out

AI Outputs are intended for marketing use on your listing — listing photos, descriptions, social media, brochures. Effective 20 April 2026, Airbnb's Host Damage Protection terms require that evidence submitted with damage claims (AirCover) be original, unaltered camera files. You agree not to submit any HostRev AI Output as part of any AirCover claim, equivalent platform damage-protection claim, or insurance claim that requires original-camera-file evidence. Retain your original camera files separately for this purpose.

7.5 Auto-import disclaimer

When you provide a listing URL and HostRev automatically retrieves images from that public URL (the "Auto-Import Feature"), you confirm you have the right to copy and process those images, that they accurately represent the property, and that you will review each auto-imported image before submission. HostRev disclaims liability for AI Outputs generated from auto-imported images that were not yours to provide.

7.6 Takedown and copyright complaints

If we receive a credible claim that uploaded photos or an AI Output violates the foregoing or infringes third-party rights, we may remove or restrict access and notify you. Copyright complaints under DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) and the equivalent EU Notice-and-Action procedure (Directive 2000/31/EC Art. 14; Digital Services Act Art. 16) go to contact@hostrev.io. We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days.

Credits

Credits are sold as digital content and consumed when you start an enhancement, audit, or generation. Once consumed, a credit is non-refundable. Unused credits remain refundable for 14 days from purchase under EU consumer law.

EU 14-day right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are an EU consumer, you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw without giving a reason. You expressly waive this right in respect of credits or subscription periods for which you have requested HostRev to start performing the service before the end of the 14-day period. By starting a generation, you consent to performance beginning before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance is fully completed (Directive 2011/83/EU Art. 16(m); BW Art. 6:230p(g)). The signup checkbox records this consent.

Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable mid-cycle. Annual subscriptions are refundable pro-rata for unused months, provided you cancel within 14 days of any billing period and have not consumed more than 25% of that period's usage limits.

Pre-chargeback step

Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer, contact us at contact@hostrev.io and allow 14 days for a good-faith response. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in account suspension pending resolution. This does not limit any mandatory consumer right under your card issuer's rules or applicable law.

License revocation on refund

All AI Output licenses are conditional on retained payment. If a refund is issued — voluntarily, by chargeback, or by operation of the 14-day withdrawal right — all licenses to the affected outputs terminate automatically on the date the refund is processed. You agree to (i) cease all use, publication, and distribution of the affected outputs; (ii) remove them from your listings, marketing materials, and third-party platforms; and (iii) delete all copies in your possession within 7 days of refund. Continued use of refunded outputs is willful copyright infringement.

9.1 Consumers (EU/EEA)

For consumers in the EU/EEA, HostRev's aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you actually paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

HostRev is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost bookings, lost revenue, lost business, reputation harm, lost data, or substitute-service costs — regardless of legal theory.

9.2 Business customers (B2B)

For customers acting in the course of a business, trade, or profession — property managers, hospitality companies, hosting agencies — HostRev's aggregate liability is limited to €100 per customer, in aggregate across all incidents and all 12-month periods.

Business customers acknowledge that this absolute cap reflects the low per-transaction price of the service relative to commercial arrangements they enter on the basis of HostRev outputs, and their professional capacity to evaluate, accept, and insure the residual risk. A higher cap requires a separately negotiated master service agreement — these public terms are not where that is negotiated.

9.3 Mandatory-law carve-outs

Nothing in this section limits HostRev's liability for:

• intent (opzet) or conscious recklessness (bewuste roekeloosheid);
• gross negligence (grove schuld);
• death or personal injury caused by HostRev's acts or omissions;
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law (including BW Art. 6:233–238 and Directive 93/13/EEC).

You will indemnify HostRev. You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HostRev and its affiliates against any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) any User Content you upload; (b) your use of the service in violation of these terms or applicable law; (c) breach of the warranties in section 7; (d) any misrepresentation you make to HostRev or to a third party via the service.

HostRev will indemnify you. HostRev will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless you against third-party claims that the service, as provided and used in accordance with these terms, infringes a valid copyright, trademark, or registered patent. This excludes claims arising from your User Content, your combination of the service with third-party systems, modifications not made by HostRev, or your breach of these terms.

HostRev targets 99% monthly uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance, outages caused by third-party providers (AI providers, hosting, payment processors), and any Force Majeure event under section 15.

If uptime falls below 99% in a calendar month (excluding the above), on written request within 30 days we will credit your account with 10% of that month's fees, applied to future bills. Service credits are HostRev's sole liability and your sole remedy for unavailability.

These terms apply for as long as you have an active account.

By you. Close your account any time from your dashboard. Subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. On closure, the 7-day hard-deletion SLA in our privacy policy applies.

By HostRev. We may suspend or terminate immediately, without refund, if you materially breach these terms, your payment method fails for 14 days, you engage in fraud, or we are required to do so by law or by a credible third-party rights claim. For non-material breaches, we give notice and a reasonable cure window.

On termination, the survival list in section 15 governs which provisions continue.

We may modify these terms. Material modifications — pricing changes, scope changes, changes to your rights — get at least 30 days' notice by email and dashboard banner. If you disagree, terminate before the changes take effect; we refund any prepaid fees for the period after termination. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

Non-material modifications (clarifications, formatting, subprocessor updates) may be made without advance notice and are reflected in the version number and effective date at the top of this page.

14.1 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

14.2 EU, UK, Canada, and Australia

Disputes are brought before the competent courts of Amsterdam, except where applicable consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, in which case those courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

EU ODR Platform. EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr per Regulation (EU) No 524/2013. Our ODR contact is contact@hostrev.io.

European Consumer Centre. For cross-border consumer disputes within the EU, you can also contact the European Consumer Centre in your country of residence (eccnet.eu).

14.3 US users — arbitration and class waiver

US residents: disputes are resolved through individual binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Rules, in San Francisco, California, or remotely. You and HostRev each waive the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by writing to contact@hostrev.io within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms.

15.1 Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control — including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, public health emergencies, natural disasters, electrical or network outages, cybersecurity incidents, and outages of AI infrastructure providers, payment processors, or cloud hosting providers. The affected party will notify the other promptly and resume performance as soon as the event abates. If a force majeure event continues for more than 90 consecutive days, either party may terminate the affected services for cause without penalty.

15.2 Survival

The following sections survive termination or expiration:

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it is limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary; the rest of these terms remain in full force.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with the privacy policy, the data processing addendum, and the cookie policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HostRev regarding the service.

Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets.
